Pencil Vs Camera - 77

Space shuttles taking off from the heart of Seoul, South Korea - Pencil vs Camera by Ben Heine
Space shuttles taking off from the heart of Seoul - Art by Ben Heine
Another creative project I made at Cheonggyecheon, South Korea. This picture shows space shuttles taking off from the heart of the city. It is about underground life and new technologies in Korea. You can view the sketch in progress here below and at this link. This image was printed and exhibited among other artworks at Hyehwa Art Center in Seoul, only a few days after its creation! If you wish to buy a signed limited edition print of this artwork, please contact info@benheine.com or contact@inmd.co.kr. View the other artwork I made in Seoul. Also view my photos of Seoul by night. All the photos in this blog post were taken with the Samsung Galaxy NX Camera.

Cheonggyecheon is an 8.4 km (5.2 miles) long, modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. The massive urban renewal project is on the site of a stream that flowed before the rapid post-war economic development required it to be covered by transportation infrastructure. The $900 million project initially attracted much public criticism but, after opening in 2005, has become popular among city residents and tourists.

I'm a Martyr
of the Keyboard

.
By Peter S Quinn (*)

I type all day long
Into the request deep
Sometimes it’ll ping-pong
Right into my sleep
I'm a martyr of the keyboard
Going down deep under
To the alphabet lord
God of the ticktick thunder!

I'll type for a request
Just to please and be ready
I'll try to do my best
If my fingers go on steady
This and that comes out
I have no complete control
Automation knows its ways about
Around the ‘key-mole’
And keyhole

I type all day to spark
And give it a steady beat
But sometimes it’ll all lack
Except its little tweet
This maybe a dark poetry read
With not much in deeper meaning
But to somewhere it will lead
In a steady and closer
Screening
