BIBF, background
Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), which has been held successfully for thirteen sessions since its establishment in 1986, has stuck to its tenet of “introducing excellent books from the world into China and leading Chinese books to the world”. After 20 years of innovation and development, BIBF has become a grand occasion for international publishing exchange. Its functions include copyright trade, book trade, cultural activities, exhibition and display, information exchange, professional communication, etc.

The 14th Beijing International Book Fair will be held at China International Exhibition Center from August 30 to September 3, 2007 and then the exhibition area will increase from 26,000 square meters to 34,000 square meters. The fair-ground will cover Hall 1 and Hall 8 of China International Exhibition Center. Germany will take part in the fair as the Country of Honor. 2007 BIBF will continue to expand and improve the special shows of Periodicals, Children’s Books as well as Rights Center. Meanwhile it will set up exhibition areas for Printing, relates Cultural Products and New Technology Industry including Electronics, Audio-Video, Cartoon-Comic, Software, Internet, Music, etc. (Read more about that on bibf.net)
