I just spent a few days working on some new abstract paintings on large canvases. I wanted them to be very colorful, spontaneous and decorative. Here is one of them (70 x 90 cm). I love flashy colors and heavy textures!

I just spent a few days working on some new abstract paintings on large canvases. The above images (click to enlarge) show some details of them. I'll share the full versions of each work shortly (when they are dry...). I used 2 different techniques and I wanted them to be very colorful, spontaneous and decorative. Please see the evolution of some of them below...

Marilyn Monroe's portrait made with thousands of flat circles (each circle was placed individually on a black background). It took me almost one week of intense work... Please see 3 details below. I love Marilyn, I think she was one of the most sensual women in the world.

3 days of intense work to make this huge panorama of Cologne, Germany's fourth-largest city. This is a 360 degrees view, I tried to get as many details as possible, sometimes repainting different parts of the cityscape. The original composition is really big (almost 20.000 pixels wide!) because I assembled more than 30 photos. I took all of them when I was in Germany 2 weeks ago... (FYI, I didn't use any autopano or fisheye).
