This is something I wanted to do before starting
my next big project (Johnny Depp's portrait)

It is made with several hundreds circles
on a black surface (click to enlarge)

The original version of this image is huge
(14 000 pixels wide, 300 dpi). If you wish
to have any more information, please

This is a portrait of my fiancée (see the full version below), she is my fire, my muse, my daily source of energy, she is a gift! I'm so grateful to have her. This is a full painting made with circles only (very time consuming work).

FYI, the next persons I'm going to portray with this new circlist style are (in no specific order): Johnny Depp, Freddie Mercury and Elvis Presley... So please come back again.

Remembering what I am
.

That was another time consuming project...
This is a digital work but totally handmade

I painted each circle individually on a black
surface. I made a quick preparatory sketch
first (you can see it in the "making of" below)

Touch My Outside Skin
.
By Peter S. Quinn

Touch my outside skin
Trying to reach the bone
I'm everything within
Structured by my tone
Nothing much of difference
From someone like you
Give me and my ways a chance
Make my life come thru

Like a day that’s going by
So is everything going
Flying low and flying high
Inside each track showing
Answers coming to reward
Within days new choice
That we know will start
To surrender its rejoice

Thanks for writing this Peter!

This is a digital work but totally "handmade"
I painted each dot on a black surface
It took me quite a long time to
finish the whole image...

This is made with small and big colored dots on a black
background. I painted each point in CS4 with a sharp
brush. It took me roughly 2 evenings of work.

Andy Warhol
.
.
This is my portrait of the famous American Pop artist.
The hole in his torso symbolizes the way he survived
from an attempted assassination in 1968. Warhol was
seriously wounded by the attack and barely survived.
He suffered physical effects for the rest of his life. The
shooting had a profound effect on Warhol's life and art.

John Lennon
.
Just a quick work, please enlarge. This is a digital
portrait made with small triangles mainly. There are
some 30000 of them plus a few lines and squares...

John Winston Ono Lennon was an English rock musician, singer-songwriter, author, and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles. With Paul McCartney, Lennon formed one of the most influential and successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century and wrote some of the most popular music in rock and roll history. He is ranked the second most successful songwriter in UK singles chart history after McCartney. More

Just a little tutorial... :) ...and one of my first attempts to make a total digital work. This one is very simple in it's form. I will do more complex digital creations in the near future. I'm still learning everyday.

As you know, I tend to think that good concepts are more important than technique anyway.
