The road never ends. Believe in your future. This is another photo I took during my pilgrimage towards Santiago de Compostela. Beautiful memories. The above picture has been shot with the Samsung NX11 (Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd). In memory of Steve Jobs, the man who changed everybody's life. RIP...

Freedom is not far, make a wish... I intended to represent a girl walking above clouds from one pyramid's top to another. I wanted to express a dream I had recently. I hope you can feel it too. This is a picture I took from a plane a few weeks ago when I traveled to Italy. I also made the quick sketch. The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX10, provided by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (See the whole Pencil Vs Camera album on Flickr)

Lovers walking and waiting for their love to bloom (if you wish, you can view some details here). Made for "Art Official Concept", an art gallery based in Cape Verde (Western Africa).

I've taken this picture in a very narrow street in Fira,
Santorini island, Greece. I also made the rough sketch.
I really had the feeling to enter in someone's mouth... :)

Ink on paper. This is sort of experimental...
I might be doing this type of illustration with
digital tools for cleaner results, not sure yet.

Africa, My Africa

By Ola Joseph Kolawole

Back in the years of the b.c.
When I was but a spirit in the heavenlies
Spying over the happenings on this miraculous planet,
I majored on the study of continents…

I had special interest in this spectacular one
Traced back to Cush, a man of colour
Blessed by Eledua – the Creator of creation
Obviously vast, leading her equals

Her land expanded by the hours –
They called it Ethiopia and the Egyptian empire
She was first in making wonderful inventions
And not lagging behind in linguistics and education

Her map became a riddle for the WISE:

Looking at the map from the west,
I see a gun.
Firing out intellects and academics
Imparting the whole wide world with wisdom.

Looking from the east,
I see a big foot,
Walking around the world
Preaching her precious cultural heritages

Give Me a
Time to Run

A poem by Peter S. Quinn

Give me a time to run
I'm so much in my freedom
Life is of sadness and fun
Contributing ways asylum
Gladness gives me laughter
Sadness only its deep pain
What is this existence after?
Where shall they both reign?

Tomorrow is always coming
Giving its time to share
Some of it is just benumbing
Without its street's fare
Life has its ups and down
With its beauty and ugliness
Each can become a hometown
With its many penurious

Give me a time to laugh
Everything becomes easier
Sometimes it isn't enough
When life gets much breezier
Give muddy bosom - sunset
For golden it will become
If futures in equals are meet
To blooms of the earth some

I Walk in Life
The Way I Am

A poem by Peter S. Quinn

I walk in life the way I am
Sometimes strong and sometimes weak
I have my happy hours too
Some are like those you might seek

I hope everybody finds their way
That's the purpose for being here
Different goals we might find out
Coming from distance everywhere

I walk in life with love and care
It's the way we all should do
Sorrows and joys we might share
So come and join by being you

We walk in life unperfectly
For nothing is too absolute
Take a look from inside me
There may lay your different route

I hope everybody finds their way
And joy with dreams they share
For tomorrow is another day
I hope I'll be finding you there

Kiss The Earth

.
By Thich Nhat Hanh (*)

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
The Earth will be safe
when we feel safe in ourselves.

(*) Thich Nhat Hanh (pronounced Tick-Naught-Han) is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk. During the war in Vietnam, he worked tirelessly for reconciliation between North and South Vietnam. His lifelong efforts to generate peace moved Martin Luther King, Jr. to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. He lives in exile in a small community in France where he teaches, writes, gardens, and works to help refugees worldwide. He has conducted many mindfulness retreats in Europe and North America helping veterans, children, environmentalists, psychotherapists, artists and many thousands of individuals seeking peace in their hearts, and in their world.
