Warsaw - Ben Heine Music

Ben Heine's music composition/production "Warsaw" is a tribute to the Polish capital, an important place for Ben. It is featuring Belgian saxophonist Stephane Pigeon. Ben recorded Stephane playing the saxophone in his studio, Ben played the other instruments and mixed them to obtain this electro jazzy touch. The clip was filmed in Warsaw by Fryderyk Sikorski. Watch the clip here above on YouTube and listen to the track here below on Soundcloud. Music Composition, production, recording, mastering and mixing: © Ben Heine 2016.

Hagards - Ben Heine Music

Paroles: HAGARDS

On est tous un peu hagards
Après ce terrible cauchemar
On aimerait garder l'espoir

Do ré mi facile à solder

It's Just a Play - Ben Heine Music

Ben Heine's new song "It's Just a Play" is about nature, colors, peace, positiveness and harmony. It starts slowly and it becomes more electro at the end. The clip was filmed in Chevetogne in the Belgian countryside. Watch the clip on YouTube (here above) and listen to the track on Soundcloud (here below). Visit Ben Heine music website. I'm A Clown
Lyrics by Ben Heine

I gave you everything
We spent so long together
You used to be my darling
We drank the same water

Where have you been?
Why do you hide?
You were a queen
Stay by my side

I'm a clown
A needy clown
In the jungle
Of your heart

Why don't you understand
We could relieve the pain
Just give me your 2 hands
We've got to try again

Where have you been?
Why do you hide?
You were a queen
Stay by my side

Believed in you so much
Why did we change like that?
Do you remember us?
So young and beautiful.

I'm a clown
A needy clown
In the jungle
Of your heart

Rainbow Memories (Original Music)

Original musical work. It is a collaboration with my friend Thibault Crols. I hope you like it. My fav moment is the fat bass part starting at 1:37. Cover picture: "In A Rainbow City" (Model: Emy Neirynck). Cover and music: © 2014 Ben Heine

You Don't Wanna Play (Original Music)

Here is a new (experimental) musical work. I composed the melody, recorded the instruments with my synth, wrote the lyrics, sang the vocals and edited all this in Ableton Live. I also used a friend's voice (Lore.G) for the female voice (with loads of sound effects). Music and cover picture © 2014 Ben Heine.

Electronic Music Work in Progress

Taste Buds Music by Ben Heine

Personal original composition (edited in Ableton Live). A bit quieter than usual. It becomes slightly crazier at the middle of the track. I made this music as a soundtrack for this time lapse video, which shows the making of a recent abstract project.

Plucky Ducky (Original Music)

Original & personal musical work with some minimalist lyrics: "Lucky ducky, lonely ducky, funky ducky, plucky ducky". Kind of a parody... Music and picture: © 2014 Ben Heine

You can watch me at work in Ableton and hear the track in progress in the following short video:

Lion Walk Animation

Another recent hand drawn animation (I drew each frame one by one, there are about 3,000 frames in total). I made this animation in a rather minimalist way. It's meant to be a simple video clip for my music (original musical composition as well) You can watch the above video in HD at this link (via Facebook) and view photos of the sketches and music in progress here below (26 pictures)...

Time Warp Animation

One of my new projects. I drew each frame one by one (really time consuming). I made the animation in a minimalist way on purpose, It's meant to be an illustration for my music. I created the music and sound effects from A to Z using synths, my new Roland drum kit and Ableton Live. I'll post another short animation soon and I might do some time-lapse projects as well in the near future. Thanks for watching!

My latest electronic sounds, mainly progressive and minimal house music (original works). You can find more at this link. I'm currently working on a new video animation with more music, coming soon!!

As you may have read in one of my previous posts, I started creating original electronic compositions a few months ago (mainly in Ableton Live). I didn't give it up yet, lol. You can find below some of my first tracks. I usually share them on Soundcloud under this nickname: "Presage" (you can also find Presage on Facebook). It's only the beginning, I know the first tracks sound quite experimental, but I'm working hard and progressing everyday. This is my new challenge...

.

Here is a video featuring some 18 Pencil Vs Camera images in progress with a small animation at the beginning (and at the end) and an original/experimental musical composition which I made in Ableton Live (titled “Haha”).

.

Some photo editing examples from my own photography portfolio. I also made the music (titled "Whistlers") in Ableton Live (experimental). This video is featuring the "before" and "after" versions of some 70 of my photos. These are mainly the most viewed pictures from my Flickr and DeviantArt stream and I've never shown the initial images previously. I think this vid could be interesting for young photographers willing to learn some photo editing possibilities...

Presage
.

A small animation I made for this melody titled "Presage", which I finished some weeks ago (just playing around, still training). I took the initial picture in Brussels, Belgium and I created the music in Ableton Live.

.

Here is a screenshot of the software I started using a few months ago: Ableton Live. I will be avidly working on some original electronic compositions in the coming months. Ableton is a loop-based software music sequencer and DAW for OS X and Windows. In contrast to many other software sequencers, Live is designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as a tool for composing and arranging. It is also used for mixing of tracks by DJs, as it offers a suite of controls for beatmatching, crossfading, and other effects used by turntablists, and was one of the first music applications to automatically beat match songs. It does not support traditional musical notation.
