Personal original composition (edited in Ableton Live). A bit quieter than usual. It becomes slightly crazier at the middle of the track. I made this music as a soundtrack for this time lapse video, which shows the making of a recent abstract project.

Ben Heine Biography (2014)
A Prolific Self-Taught Multidisciplinary Artist

A Belgian Boy Born in Ivory Coast With an Interest in Drawing
Ben was born in 1983 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where he spent the first seven years of his life, with his parents and three sisters. The whole family relocated in Brussels, Belgium, in 1990. His father was a commercial engineer and his mother a choreographer and a dance teacher. As a young boy, Heine was attracted by the things young men are happy to explore such as sport, music and friends. Heine started drawing at 11 year old and quickly understood that graphic art was a powerful tool of communication and expression. At that time until recently, his curiosity for drawing was his keenest interest.

Featuring my friend Davide Gentile. He is an Italian film director. This is a "Pencil Vs Camera" work I made near Braives' church. He is holding a camera with a huge lens (it's not a futuristic gun, lol). If you wish, you can view a detail here. The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX11, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

Baby Chimps are as
Bright as Human Infants

Bright as Human Infants
By Jack Grimston
Chimpanzees have long been known for their ability to mimic humans. Now scientists have found that baby chimps’ mental development can even be more advanced than children of the same age. At nine months, the animals are just as curious and capable of recognising carers and familiar objects as the average baby. When compared with infants kept in isolated conditions in orphanages, the animals are even more advanced. The scientists who carried out the research believe their research also provides valuable evidence that chimpanzees, like humans, thrive on social interaction. The more intimate their contact with their carers, the faster their brains develop. >>> Read the full article

Voyage to Cythera
A poem by Charles Baudelaire
Free as a bird and joyfully my heart
Soared up among the rigging, in and out;
Under a cloudless sky the ship rolled on
Like an angel drunk with brilliant sun.
"That dark, grim island there--which would that be?"
"Cythera," we're told, "the legendary isle
Old bachelors tell stories of and smile.
There's really not much to it, you can see."
O place of many a mystic sacrament!
Archaic Aphrodite's splendid shade
Lingers above your waters like a scent
Infusing spirits with an amorous mood.
Worshipped from of old by every nation,
Myrtle-green isle, where each new bud discloses
Sighs of souls in loving adoration
Breathing like incense from a bank of roses
Or like a dove roo-cooing endlessly . . .
No; Cythera was a poor infertile rock,
A stony desert harrowed by the shriek
Of gulls. And yet there was something to see:
This was no temple deep in flowers and trees
With a young priestess moving to and fro,
Her body heated by a secret glow,
Her robe half-opening to every breeze;

Mind Pollution
.
By David Moe
.
What is the solution
To mind pollution?
Will it take a revolution
To reform this evolution?
Our youth are being bombarded
With music, pornography and drugs,
Their souls are not highly regarded
By the pollutants of the mind.
So much art
Is not enlightened,
But designed to dehumanize
And destroy the spirit.
Let us unite
Ecologists of the mind,
To clean up the world
And the minds of all mankind.
