Even when life is hard, friendship is always somewhere. Harmony in perfect duos never ends. It's precious. These are photos I recently took while I was walking in the streets of Sousse, in Tunisia.

Featuring my friend Davide Gentile. He is an Italian film director. This is a "Pencil Vs Camera" work I made near Braives' church. He is holding a camera with a huge lens (it's not a futuristic gun, lol). If you wish, you can view a detail here. Tetris feeling today... This is my last creation for "Art Official Concept" (an art gallery in the Republic of Cape Verde). The crazy architecture of this place reminded me so much of Tetris! By the way, the littleman in the middle won't get crushed if he escapes... hopefully... :)

A picture I took in Brussels (Belgium), a few days ago. It is
a long exposure shot and I've repainted some parts of it...
The cars were really close to me and going fast! Lots of fun!

Fira by Night

A picture I took in Fira (Santorini, Greece), last summer. It is a long exposure shot and I've repainted some parts of it. Fira is the modern capital of the Greek Aegean island, Santorini. It is a traditional settlement. The view from there is magnificent, with a unique panorama showing the 18 km long caldera from southern Cape Akrotiri to northern Cape Ag. Nikolaos, plus the volcanic island Nea Kameni at the center with Thirassia Island in the distant west on blue Aegean water. Fira is a town of white-washed houses built on the edge of the 400 m high caldera on the western edge of the semi-circular island of Thera

I took this photo in Naxos, Greece. These old and
moving people wanted me to take a photo of them.

Montignac is a commune in the Dordogne department in Aquitaine,
in south-western France. I was there last week and took these
pictures while there was a party in the village...

Brussels Palace of Justice
.

I took this photo a few days ago and spent several hours
to edit it and get the tones I wanted. I really love this place,
the streets around the massive building are completely crazy!

The Brussels Palace of Justice is the most important Court building in Belgium and is a notable landmark of Brussels. It was built between 1866 and 1883 in the eclectic style by architect Joseph Poelaert. It is the biggest building constructed in the 19th century.

This is where I used to revise my books when I made my degree in Journalism. I didn't use a fisheye lens, I have actually assembled some 14 photos I took when I was there 2 days ago. The original image is huge (12000 pixels wide - See the detail below).

The "Mont des Arts" (meaning "hill of the arts") is a historic site in the center of Brussels, Belgium. The showcase square was created for the Universal Exposition held in Brussels in 1910. The square and its surroundings gave way to massive, severely geometric postmodern structures such as the Royal Library of Belgium and the Congress Palace.

Enjoying the Moment

A poem by Peter S. Quinn

Enjoying the moment
In its day by going day
Their feature and foment
That’s coming the way
With sunshine spirits on
And touching a while
Until it’s again gone
With its summer smile

Like breeze in the alley
Among dreams going by
Of an urban dillydally
Under blue open sky
Contacts thru moments
Those feelings do employ
In picturesque fragments
Of buoyancy to enjoy

Listen to the fussing
Of people walking near
Some of it’s quite buzzing
Inside the close-by ear
As days go here about
Thru the lively street
Surrounded by turnout
In latest gladness beat

A little hole in a piece of paper and a minimalist sketch, I recently took this photo in Brussels. One world meeting another, imagination versus the blurred and strange reality. (this is just another visual concept that I'll certainly be using in my future posts.)

This is a full drawing with a surreal touch ^^

The architectural background is inspired by
the main hall of the "Palais des Beaux Arts" of Lille
in France, which I visited some time ago.

I'm glad I can finally share this with you.
I'm now going to work on some new
"Pencil Vs Camera" images.
