I was invited to talk about my work at Creative Pro Show on the 17th of November 2012 to explain the creative process for each of my series: "Pencil Vs Camera", "Digital Circlism" and "Flesh and Acrylic". Among different things, I talked about ways to market and promote art. Click here to see the full report on Facebook with more pictures and information. Many thanks to Martin Benes for his invitation and to Emiliano Rampazzi for the translations during the conference.

A celestial scenery captured during my travel from Brussels to Rome.
I travelled there to talk about my work at "Creative Pro Show".

I recently travelled to Rome, Italy, to talk about my work at Creative Pro Show. I only stayed a few days and didn't have so much time to visit. Here below is a selection of pictures I took during my free time...

The huge arches of the Coliseum

The Coliseum seen from the inside

A long exposure night shot of the Vatican City

The Tiber river that crosses Rome

The beautiful Pantheon in the centre of Rome

A picture I took at Venice train station some time ago. Read more about the "Orient Express" here below... The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX11, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

A landmark moment in railway history, October 1883 saw the launch of the original Orient Express. Leaving from Paris, it steamed through the Alps, Budapest and Bucharest to Constantinople. Packed with grandees and unheard of luxuries such as soap by the washbasins, reports swiftly came back of its exquisite food, excellent wine and impeccable service. This legendary train continued to carry kings, celebrities and shady characters between great European cities up until its 1920s heyday. Many of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express's current carriages date from this era (read more).

Street Art in Florence, Italy. I recently took this picture and also made the drawing. Originally, the mother and child were holding grapes. I had several ideas to replace the grapes with something more funny. I chose a camera because I'm thinking about buying a new camera... haha. I also liked the connection between photography, painting and drawing... See the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

If you wish, you can also view a detail and the background HERE (the background painting is by Madonnari). The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX10, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

This is an old woman I met in a street of Venice, Italy. She was walking alone and looking very sad. Ok, women live usually much longer than men, may be that sweet grandma was missing her man. Anyway, I hope that person feels better now. As always, I took the photo and also made the quick drawing. A picture I took from a small bridge in Venice, Italy. This place was completely amazing and there weren't too many tourists that day... (The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX10, provided by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd).

I took this photo last month in Venice, Italy. The man was
sitting on a small bridge waiting for people willing to travel
in his gondola. I'll share more photos from Venice soon...

A drag queen I met in a street of Florence, Italy, a few days ago.
He was really expressive and had giant "Queen cards" on his hat.
