Pencil Vs Camera - 76

Pencil Vs Camera 76 with Dragon by Ben Heine at Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace in Seoul, South Korea
Dragon landing on Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace © 2013 Ben Heine

A sketch I made at Gyeongbokgung Palace in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1395, later burned and abandoned for almost three centuries, reconstructed in 1867, then destroyed by Imperial Japan in the early 20th century, it was the largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty. It has been gradually restored back to its original form.

I took this photo with the new Samsung Galaxy NX Camera and drew the quick sketch by hand as always! View the photo report about my travel and exhibition in South Korea at this link. View the full Pencil Vs Camera album. You can buy prints  of the above image here

Come On In - Silent Night

.
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
.
Come on in with your singing on so bright
The carols of love and every bearing
Bring forth peace with harmonious interfering
So we me catch the highest of clear light
Come to my heart and take out its senses
With melodious in its wondrous beauty
Like the northern lights twilight's sequences
The newborn in their destiny are free
.
A silent night comes to each man heart
With twinkling stars and the wishes that call
For harmony and prospect to this earth
Let each you’re inspiring from inside start
And be like the stars that for wishes must fall
To celebrate again Jesus Christ's birth

Brussels Palace of Justice
.

I took this photo a few days ago and spent several hours
to edit it and get the tones I wanted. I really love this place,
the streets around the massive building are completely crazy!

The Brussels Palace of Justice is the most important Court building in Belgium and is a notable landmark of Brussels. It was built between 1866 and 1883 in the eclectic style by architect Joseph Poelaert. It is the biggest building constructed in the 19th century.

This is dedicated to Yves Rossy alias "JET MAN" (also known as "Fusion Man"). I admire him a lot.

He is a Swiss pilot, inventor and aviation enthusiast. He is nicknamed "Jet Man" and "Fusion Man" for being the first person to achieve sustained human flight using a jet-powered fixed wing strapped to his back, reaching a top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph). He developed and built a system comprising a back pack with rigid aeroplane-type carbon-fiber wings with a span of about 2.4 metres (7.9 ft), powered by four attached jet engines. He already flew across the English Channel, the Strait of Gibraltar and over the Alps. Next, Rossy plans to fly across the Grand Canyon in Arizona in the USA...

You Are Sunshine,
You Are Rain

.
.
All Her Days

By Peter S. Quinn

All her days are softly going by
With some dreams to be forgotten
Like clouds that are always in the sky
Only to drift away and be forgotten

Sunshine and rain
each day sunshine and rain

Life is sometimes a dream rising high
With every opportunity coming to be
Or some loneliness that cannot die
Only to become an inside part you and me

Sunshine and rain
each day sunshine and rain

There are dreams that cannot be hidden away
In the mirrors of glasses that make a day

Every love song
is rising in high
With the times
that come with new spring
And its hopes
with the dreams still lie
Bringing worth
to recollections of old gone thing

Sunshine and rain
each day sunshine and rain

A song of me and you

A moving poem sent
to me by Sana Iftikhar

.
A song of me and you
With riddles that are no secrets to us
But make other weary
A song of me and you
With love and hope and joy for life
Senses elate with joy of making love
Hope of making it last a life time
A song of me and you
With celestial sounds that’s sweeter than honey
Introspection or just mere impulsiveness
The need grows as our song comes to life
A song of me and you
Like a tale of an ancient warrior
A Greek god maybe
With riddles that are no secret to us
But makes other weary
A song of me and you
With lyrics lingering on our skin
Tracing their way to each others soul
Embedded like stars in a deep blue sky
A song of me and you
Like a poem that tells a story
Of love lost and found
Of faith embraced and revered
Of hearts mingling with ecstasy
Of souls coming to rest
Let that be ... a song of me and you.
