Lines - Colors - Woman - Music

Unfinished sketch, mixed media on paper. I simply made this with Stabilo markers and pastels on paper. Contact me if you want to buy some original illustrations (info@benheine.com). Alone on a strange and endless podium. Abstraction, simplicity and anamorphosis. Each cylinder of this giant podium somehow symbolizes a challenge in life. I made this project recently in my studio in Belgium (mixed media, mixed techniques). I really love geometric abstraction. You can view the sketch in progress here below and the Pencil Vs Camera album at this link. New: find some prints of my photos for sale or some fun products and gifts with a selection of my designs. Thanks for watching.

Choose Peace, not violence! Bringing a different 3D effect in my Pencil Vs Camera series. This is more of an experimental work for my future projects. Parts of the paper have been cut in the last steps to give a stronger 3D illusion. Notes: The thin paper was moving each time I was adding charcoal/pencil strokes due to a small space between the wall and paper. That was making it more difficult to draw. I'll place the large paper on the floor for more stability next time I do a similar project. View the sketch in progress here below (6 steps).

This is the first part of a project I worked on last week. Featuring Caroline Madison. I'll post the second part in a few days... Following several questions, let me explain a few points: I think Caroline's silhouette stands out more without the black lines. Furthermore, the black paint I used was different and a bit toxic so I didn't want to put it on her skin. This image is only the first part of the project, the second part becomes completely abstract...

Certainly it's not recommended to cover your skin with paint repetitively, I first tried on several parts of my own body, no pain, no irritation... Caroline didn't have problems either. Acrylic paint is water-based so the majority of the substance is not toxic. Acrylic paints with cadmium can be harmful because of the heavy metals they contain. I use acrylic WITHOUT cadmium.

Finally, Caroline is an exceptional model. She is a serene, passionate and determined person. The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX11, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

Art Official Concept

Tetris feeling today... This is my last creation for "Art Official Concept" (an art gallery in the Republic of Cape Verde). The crazy architecture of this place reminded me so much of Tetris! By the way, the littleman in the middle won't get crushed if he escapes... hopefully... :)
