Pencil Vs Camera - 72

Choose Peace, not violence! Bringing a different 3D effect in my Pencil Vs Camera series. This is more of an experimental work for my future projects. Parts of the paper have been cut in the last steps to give a stronger 3D illusion. Notes: The thin paper was moving each time I was adding charcoal/pencil strokes due to a small space between the wall and paper. That was making it more difficult to draw. I'll place the large paper on the floor for more stability next time I do a similar project. View the sketch in progress here below (6 steps).

Music, music, music... Here is a bird with some electronic power! I took the pic and made the sketch as usual. I was sitting outside of a restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal. Several birds came and moved from one chair to another hoping to draw my attention to receive some food (I gave them all my bread, lol). If you wish, you can also view the sketch in progress and some preparatory photos HERE... See the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

Don’t cry baby, you were born in a scary world, you’d better get used to it. Every life has its own little dramas and we're all scary in some ways. You are a flower, remember. Don't cry, little man.

No more violence! This work is dedicated to the 5 killed and 125 wounded people in the recent gun and grenade attack in Liège (Belgium). Weapons are useless. I ripped the paper and held it in a different way so that it works with my drawing... You can view some details and the work in progress (part of it) here below. Fight for your rights, never let imposters steal them. This is a detail of my 3rd "Flesh and Acrylic" work with Martin. The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX11, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

Half Real... I took the photo and also made the drawing, slightly more detailed here. Happy New Year by the way! See the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

Random detail:

When divided walls become alive. When the impossible becomes possible. I took the photo and also made the sketch on paper. I used a different drawing technique for this work (scribbles instead of lines). See the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

There is a baby in everyone of us. I actually wanted to draw the little child inside her head, but I finally decided to make it become the flower of an imaginary plant, still connected to the precious woman. Dedicated to Marta. Please, see the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

This is a picture I took in Greece. I also made the drawing on paper. I'm going to start something new in the "Pencil Vs Camera" series, I'll try to see "through things". This image is the beginning of a new turn in the PvsC concept... Please, see the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album.

Checkmate :) The Queen takes the King! I took this picture under a church in Oia, Greece, I also made the rough drawing on paper. I used to play chess every day some time ago... I intended to draw a skull ring, I finally opted for a knot ring... See the whole "Pencil Vs Camera" album

LOL, a quick sketch on my left hand (with ballpoint pen) and a photo with a soft flash in a mirror. I might develop the idea of drawing directly on the palm of my hand instead of using pieces of paper. That was a bit tricky because I had to make the drawing upside down...

I wanted to try something different: a photo in a drawing...
actually the opposite of what I've done so far in this series.
I might do another one similar to that but with more creativity.
