Du Talent à Revendre
Christophe Pequet

Interview de Ben Heine (Artist Up)
(Lire l'interview sur Artist Up)

Ben Heine Exhibitions in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Omsk, Arkhangelsk and Tyumen
In 2015 and 2016, Ben Heine had a major itinerant exhibition in Russia, which started in June at Moscow Planetarium and moved every 3 months to Arkhangelsk, Omsk, Saint Petersburg and then Tyumen. The show featured over 30 large size Pencil Vs Camera signed canvases along with eight interactive installations, which enabled the visitors to literally travel inside Heine's world. Heine also made a public Flesh and Acrylic live performance for the opening of the exhibition at Moscow Planetarium. Ben Heine music was also broadcasted for the first time in public during these events.
Flesh and Acrylic Abstract Project at Moscow Planetarium
This is a Flesh and Acrylic project Ben Heine made in June 2015 for the opening of his exhibition at Moscow Planetarium (more info).
In Flesh and Acrylic, Heine creates abstract acrylic paintings on large wooden panels. A living person is integrated in the artwork and is part of the whole abstract composition.
When the painting is complete, the model seems to have completely evaporated. The end result is often very colorful, intuitive, wild and eye-catching. There is something choreographic about Flesh And Acrylic.

Flesh and Acrylic by Ben Heine (From 2012 Documentary)
This is a Flesh and Acrylic project Ben Heine made in 2011 for a documentary filmed by Italian director Davide Gentile. Model: Caroline Madison.
In Flesh and Acrylic, Heine creates abstract acrylic paintings on large wooden panels. A living person is integrated in the artwork and is part of the whole abstract composition. The end result is often very colorful, intuitive, wild and eye-catching. There is something choreographic about Flesh And Acrylic. When the painting is complete, the model seems to have completely evaporated. Each piece involves Heine coating human life with acrylic paint to match large wooden backdrops, whether these backdrops are decorated with colorful stripes, maniacal splatters, abstract speckles and swirls, or more ordered doodles. It usually takes Heine between 1 and 3 hours to complete such works (source).
Flesh and Acrylic and Exhibition at Harbour City, Hong Kong
In 2015, Ben Heine delivered a "Flesh and Acrylic" impromptu simulating the movement of chocolate fluid to match with the theme of his solo exhibition "From Cocoa to Chocolate, taking you through the Journey of Love" at Harbour City, Hong Kong's largest shopping mall (view some photos of his exhibition in Hong Kong here). Heine also created 7 Pencil Vs Camera artworks using some of Hong Kong's most famous landmarks. The exhibition happened in the frame of Hong Kong’s famous Chocolate Trail. For this event, Heine collaborated with the well known Chocolate brand Galler. The Belgian Embassy in Hong Kong supported Heine's show. More info about the Flesh and Acrylic concept.

I'm A Clown
Lyrics by Ben Heine
I gave you everything
We spent so long together
You used to be my darling
We drank the same water
Where have you been?
Why do you hide?
You were a queen
Stay by my side
I'm a clown
A needy clown
In the jungle
Of your heart
Why don't you understand
We could relieve the pain
Just give me your 2 hands
We've got to try again
Where have you been?
Why do you hide?
You were a queen
Stay by my side
Believed in you so much
Why did we change like that?
Do you remember us?
So young and beautiful.
I'm a clown
A needy clown
In the jungle
Of your heart

The Language of Love
Lyrics by Ben Heine
I came here for no reason
Travelling all alone
Right outside my little plane
I got lost in the rain
I crossed the pearly gate
Looking for a soul mate
Then I saw you in the crowd
Flying on a voodoo cloud
We escaped as an eclipse
We fell deep in the bliss
We forgot time and space
We enjoyed this mighty place
Your beauty woke me up
You showed me your world
Everything seemed possible
As if I knew you forever
You opened me your door
Granting me passion and trust
What we were looking for
Infinity and star dust
We walked on the same rainbow
At night, side by side
Not thinking about tomorrow
We spoke the language of love
Heartbeats and earthquakes
Kisses and Caresses
They all resonate
When I'm asleep or awake
And now you're far away
But we made that special wish
That we would meet soon again
The fire can't be extinguished
It's just a matter of time
Until our hearts stop bleeding
Our souls will be fine
If the sun keeps on shining
